Maybe, but I think he is repeating his same assertions from a year ago because the timing is now better for the left.

After Mr.Z blew up his countrymen in Jordan and was denounced by 250,000 protesters and his family, the left figures his power in Iraq may wane for a bit.

So they jumped in to take his place in defeating the US war effort.

And, the Dec 15 elections are coming up, which adds to their needs to humiliate the President and the US, painting the war as a failure now matter what the elections produce.

WE and the President MUST lose.

I think they did this before the handover of power too, trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They may know that this is their last chance. The election may seal the compact we've made with the Iraqi people.

Then again another trope of the left is to demand something we're going to do anyway in hopes of claiming credit for it. It will never work. Then next fall none of this will have happened.
