Future generations will not do so...they will see it as a dedication to the actions and memory of the passengers and crew.
As I have said before, while I personally think that a better design could be made, this one is a much more complete circle that does not look like the Islamic crescent and is clearly memorializing the 40 passengers and crew and not the terrorists. It is something I can accept and would be willing to visit with my family...and I will.
