In late January, I uncovered a password-protected Arabic-language website, Barsomyat.com, that was frequented by Middle Eastern Muslims, predominantly Egyptians. The purpose of Barsomyat.com was to systematically track Christians who were active in religious debates against Muslims on the internet chat service PalTalk. Barsomyat featured pictures of these Christians (some of which were obviously obtained by hacking into the Christians' computers) along with death threats and attempts to track down the subjects' physical addresses. Even Barsomyat.com's banner showed the website's intentions toward Christians, as it pictured a sheep--obviously intended to represent Christianity--getting its throat slit.

There. Fixed it.
I hope you practice good personal security habits.
Gives real meaning to the tagline of a FReeper whose name I can't recall right now that says you should be nice, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet ;o)
Shannon Rossmiller?
Up to a point I do.
I used multiple proxyservers (among other things), running from one proxy thru another. Makes any attempt to read the info on your computer, trace, ping, or traceroute, all that much more difficult.
And yes, it would appear that using Arabic is one of their primary security mechanisms. In most cities there are language classes taught at all hours. I was enrolled in an after-work Russian class for 4 semesters, I remember that almost no one was taking Arabic.
You dont always need Arabic... there were several nice English language ones. Here's a tip. When you find a nice jihadi type running his mouth off, google his name and see what other forums or chat sites he's on. Check out those forums too. One nice advantage of all those 'slamic names that they spell in 1001 unique combinations.
Yup, they've been onto that for ages... some 'slamic forums seem to have more of us "filthy kuffar" pretending to be "believers" than real muslims. That's why many of them have become closed forums now. The distrust and paranoia is still rampant tho, but it serves the same ultimate purpose if they sense they are watched... it causes havoc with jihadi recruitment, and reduces the effectiveness of the sites.
WHy are Christians on a Muslim website to begin with? Why ask for trouble?
...so the Turks and Arabs simply called all the crusaders "Franks" (i.e., French)....
Now THAT's offensive.
It may take a while longer, but these nutjihadis will awaken the sleeping giant.
That will be the end of them.
Let them start that.
It's MUCH easier to find Muslims with a phonebook than it is to find Christians there, or on the internet. Mosques are easy to locate too.
If they REALLY want to go there, this is an armed country and I, personally, have NO conscience where barbarian raghead cultists are concerned.
I agree. But will people? Very scary that they are using the internet and technology to hunt down those who disagree.
That's Shadowstrike...good friend of mine. You don't mess with her, that country girl is well-armed and has nerves of steel.
Maybe we should just give them our addresses and when they show up take them into custody (Marine Corps style)?

How did she teach herself arabic?
I have a very very close friend who is highly placed individual, and is from a prominent muslim family.
He's been going thru this for ages.. he doesn't care for islam, and is muslim in name only, but leaving is difficult because of his families very public and privileged status in the islamic nation they reside in. He would make an excellent case study for Ibn Warraq, but of course, can't afford to go public.
Islam is a good for nothing cult of death that will inevitably bring nothing but oppression, death, destruction and misery to muslims.
The prophecy of the 72 sects will see to that.
Muslims are slaves to the cult. The truth about Muhammed and his cult will set them free, but that of course, is exactly what the throat slitters who threaten those who dare to discuss islam with muslims fear the most.
