And the cop knows you are a "law abiding citizen" exactly how?



What cop? Please explain your scenario.

(Note that cops should approach all traffic stops with caution, as the car may be stolen, etc.)

You mentioned that cops should not fear armed law-abiding citizens. I asked how they were to know that they were law-abiding.

In fact the cop finding that you have a permit would reassure him that you ARE a law-abiding citizen since the other kind can't get a permit.

And if it's stolen, the occupant is quite unlikely to be the registered owner so the registered owner's ccw/non-ccw isn't going to matter anyhow.
