I notice that Bill is still trying to get rid of Rumsfeld. Although, I gotta admit, appointing Liberman as Secretary of Defense would be a smart move. It would be bipartisan,it would create a lot of buzz and I'm a little tired of Rumsfeld too.
He didn't react to the insurgency as quickly as he could have.

Rummy has tried to reform the military during a war. While respectable, it certainly was a lot to take on. He has shown very poor PR skills, extreme arrogance and failed to anticipate or quickly respond to an organized insurgency, though the senior military and intelligence types deserve much of that blame as well. Also, not foreseeing the consequences of the inevitable photos of interrogation and sadism on the American public almost cost the Presidency. All and all, however, he has been resolute in the face of whithering fire from all sides.
