Memo to Bill O'Reilly:

Fox News Shop offers "Holiday Ideas" for the season, not "Christmas Ideas. You can get a "FOX News Holiday Ornament," an "O'Reilly Factor Holiday Ornament," etc. http://shop.ecompanystore.com/foxnews/FOX_ProductList.asp?TYPE=Holiday+Ideas&index=7&CATALOG=FOX&ID=71

Target's "Grinch" approach: (recall, no Salvation Army kettles & bell ringers, plus support for leftist causes)

Dear Bill, You are completely unglued...as is anyone who expends energy and emotion over this silly issue.

Apparently you don't think its a big deal when Christianity and even the concept of Christmas is being marginalized and restricted? If 94% of Americans admit to celebrating Christmas, then why is it such a big deal for corporations & schools & the ACLU to attack and restrict Christianity in any form, including wishing someone Merry Christmas. Apparently the radical left & secular humanists & atheists are taking their mission seriously.

It's quite simple: If a store is advertising to receive my money for a "holiday," but cannot acknowledge the "reason" for the "holiday," then they've given me no "reason" to acknowledge them with my money.

Target: Did not return phone calls

According to the Target Diversity Calendar (with events, holidays, and celebrations), Target celebrates Pride Month during June and Independence Day during July. When December rolls around on their calendar, Target is silent in respect to Christmas or even the holidays in general. Only Human Rights Day (December 10) is mentioned for December.

Last night, I saw a "tweenie" commercial for Honda autos, where the chorus was singing "Happy Hondadays!" -PJ

Merry Chryslermas!

Bill may be a blowhard but he is quite sincere and sentimental regarding Christmas, and children. It happens to be what he is.

I sent Lowe's an e-mail, the other day, to which they responded. They apparently got lots of letters/e-mails....they said it's too late to pull their ads for this year, but next year, it will be back to 'Christmas'.

Sure does feel good when something many people do has a noticeable impact.

Very well put, and pithy, too.

Thanks; those stores will be added to my list of stores to contact, informing them I won't be acknowledging them with my money.

As a Christian I don't spend a ridiculous amount of money for Christmas. I do buy a few gifts for our children and a small gift for our parents. Giving gifts to people is one way of showing them love. The "PC" of using Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas is what chaps my hide. They are profiting off of Christmas and yet they refuse to acknowledge we celebrate Christmas in remembrance of Christ's birth. It is just unbelievable.

I don't know if you have the DOLLAR STORE where you live, but their catalog came today with the others and Christmas is mentioned many times.

I think we do have one.

BTW, I just sent off e-mails to Radio Shack and L L Bean.

We'll see if they respond.
