He calls himself an "abortionist" and says, "I am destroying life."
But he also feels he's giving life: He calls his patients "born again."
"When you end what the woman considers a disastrous pregnancy, she has literally been given her life back," he says.
Before giving up obstetrics in 1991, Harrison delivered 6,000 babies. Childbirth, he says, should be joyous; a woman should never consider it a punishment or an obligation.
"We try to make sure she doesn't ever feel guilty," he says, "for what she feels she has to do."

The banality of evil.... Exactly. Whenever the topic of capital punishment comes up here, FReepers start shouting about how monstrously unusual these villainous criminals are. How comforting it would be if the only killers in our midst were occasional convicted murderers and foreign terrorists. But evil of the most horrific sort is commonplace in America today. It is even celebrated in respected publications like the LA Times. And some people seem to believe it is our most basic liberty.

32 years old and still in college. I presume English, and psychology, and philosophy, and biology, and calculus, and economics, and Spanish to boot, were also "bummers" as well.

These women may have no immediate regrets, having convinced themselves that their baby was just a piece of tissue or a chicken yolk, but the conscience which God gives them will not be silenced forever. Most of these women are haunted by the memory of what they did. Some of them repent later on and seek forgiveness. There's always hope.

How did it ever become ok to kill babies????? Ok, sorry that is just a rhetorical question that always slips out when these stories come up.
Why is it that if that pregnant woman is injured buy another (drunk driver or assault etc) and loses the unborn child the perpetrator is charged with murder, but if she pays a doctor to kill the baby it is her right, her "choice"?

IQ is no preventative, as a past girl friend, now a physician and a psychiatrist had three or four abortions before having her two children.
Faith is likewise not a factor, as she was Southern Baptist, and a fan of Oral Roberts.
I suspect she was just forgetful. Should she have been made to have those children? Of what value to society is a physician, a psychiatrist? And to make the question even more nettlesome, she is a physician, not a "fee"sychian.
As for "I don't know what to say" who are you and where did LauraLee go? ;-)

Now 70, Harrison estimates he's terminated at least 20,000 pregnancies. This casual remark is offered by the same liberal rag that brands George Bush a baby killer.
To: Deo volente
Oh it's OK! More people should read it anyway.

I suspect she was just forgetful. You mean she forgot that sex causes babies?

There was a thread last week asking if hell could be captured on paper. I think perhaps your excerpt may have come close.

Sarah paid big bucks for that wedding dress I dont blame her for wanting it to look nice. Please tell me you're being darkly sarcastic.
