This does not differ greatly from the criterion for priests who are heterosexual in "orientation." One who is not able or willing to be celibate should not become a priest.

It is, or at least should be, insulting to priests with homosexual tendencies that they are often portrayed as inherently less able to control their sexual impulses than priests who are attracted to women.
