How does ID checking on a bus have any relation to a truck with tons of explosives?

Well, McVeigh was caught on a license plate violation, one of those piddly little government rules that is an invasion of privacy. After all, shouldn't you have anonymity as you drive down the road? Why should you have to identify yourself to every police officer who manages to catch a glimpse of your license plate?

Your straw-man rhetoric is moronic. McVeigh was pulled over for legitimate cause. The victims were already dead.

You can't win this one on the facts, so you make up silly straw men, as if we are aguing for driver anonymity.
