The place is a pawnshop that I have bought a couple of guns from (the last one was just a month or two ago). The owner and his partner walk around with a revolver on their hips. Evidently they also know how to use them. It was more than stupid for those kids to try this.
The paper has very few details right now other than the kid killed had a long list of arrests and a few convictions. I have no idea why they are being so closed-mouth about this, but at least no one is spouting off that the owner should be arrested like they do back east.
From the radio reports on KFAB this morning, it sounded as if the perps tried to hold the owner or his wife hostage and the parter intervened.
