I know what you mean. It's circular reasoning, to say the least, to use illegals to depress wages and then justify it by saying no American will do the work (for such depressed wages).
In a sense, I don't blame the illegals for taking advantage of us like this - we (the government) do (does) pretty much everything we can to invite them and make things comfortable for them. they'd be stupid if they did not take us for the chumps we are.
The Republicans are largely tone-deaf on this and they, and we, will end up paying the price.

You know I'm enraged by the illegals, but even so I'm also enraged by what our government is doing for the legals. I'm a white American born citizen, my father served in our countries military for 23 years, and yet I find it almost impossible to find a grant, or loan to start a small business. People come here from another country, and the government throws money at them, "here start your business." and then to further ensure success, no taxes for their first 7 years as citizens? I'm appalled, it seams to me more lucrative to immigrate to America than to be an American born, law abiding, contributing member of our society.
