Yes. by the way my review was titled "Losing Elections Has Made Liberals 'Unhinged'" The more they lose, the more they get angry, bitter, and crazy. (I'm referring to the Presidential races pretty much...they've lost 7 of the last 10, right?) No ideas (or good ideas),

tp go the the floor, and savaged both the ill, and made many personal attacks against Cheney, in the process..obviously
without using any "cuss" words, and thenm after the end of
the session greeted Cheny with a smirk on his face, like
nothing had happened
From what i remembe, Leheys attacks were quite vicious
and untrue...as far as the "cuss words"..it may not have
been polite, but it was nowhere near as bad as the "non-cussword" filth that came out of Leheys anus lips.
Believe me, i am a student of the art, of using truth
and "non cussworded" insults that make what Cheney
said about as offensive as saying "You Big Liar Meanie!".
But would have been a lot more accurate for Cheney
to have said that to him. Because Lehey *is* n fact,
a mean liar, and he's a *big* backstabbing one at that.
As a frequent DU reader (see my tagline) I am amazed at the obcenities I see there every day. The hatred there is Soooooooo bitter and obvious. The ohbcenities only serve to illustrate the intelligence level of the posters. They have no arguments so are reduced to screaming rage. They turn on anyone who disagrees with any of their standard positions even once. Proof positive to me that they and their party are in the process of meltdown to complete irrelevance.
It wasn't that long ago that the MSM commonly used the terms "angry white males" and "Clinton-haters" in their regular copy. Oh, and let's not forget the "extreme right wing".
Funny, I don't think I've ever seen the term "loony left" or "Bush-hater" in the Washington Post. That might be an interesting exercise for someone with Lexus/Nexus.
I'm thinking you have more direct experience with this sort of behavior from Lefties, than just about anyone here.

Disagree with you on this one. Yes, TV (news) can be characterized as a clump of soundbite strung together. However, talk radio (usually) delves in to current issues in a more intelligent, thoughtful manner.

I applauded Cheney for doing that, and it had nothing to do with winning. (It occurred in June of 2004, 5 months shy of the re-election.) It had to do with Leahy committing slander Bush/Cheney on a near-daily basis. As I recall, Leahy was badgering them about Haliburton, attempting to paint the picture of Bush/Cheney as evil, corrupt oilmen. In the Senate building, Leahy put on his best two-face, and approached Cheney in a friendly, that-was-just-my-job jovial manner, and Cheney let him have it. Good for Cheney.
Your "no gracious winner" characterization of Cheney reminds me of the soundbite culture of network news. Oh well, we detest others for our own flaws.
Sounds like a reasonable presentation of a classic small-government, quasi-Libertarian, Conservative position. This guy is half a step away from registering Republican, and doesn't even know it!

There are not enough words in the English language to denigrate Leahy properly.
If you read Malkin's book you will see that there is no equivalent hate and rage on the conservative side. It is very much one sided.
While Dick Cheny mouthed the "F" word the dims were burning and shooting at local Republican head quarters, physically attacking Republican candidates and supporters and calling for the assassination of our troop leaders in Iraq and many many other similar tactics.
Nothing similar came from the right, it was all from unhinged liberals.
