Fox News and Sirius Radio
fox news | 11/29/2005 | howlingmule

Fox News is advertising that they will no longer be on Sirius Radio. They are making it sound like it's not there choice, wanting us to call Sirius and voice our opinion. So I did, me being a trucker, I just cant go without fox programing. The Tony Snow show included. Now Sirius's customer service rep's are denying this. So what gives? Does anyone have the insight? Should I start shopping for an XM Radio? And finally, where is Tony Snow?

FNC is already on XM and Fox News Radio will be on XM in January. I can't wait.

Tony Snow's show is already on XM on one of the other channels (156).

But, but, but . . . Sirius gets Howard Stern! Isn't that good enough for you?

I got them both so I could see which I liked better.

Sirius seems to have more music channels that I personally like but XM has a broader spectrum. And XM has it all over Sirius for Christmas music. I listened for about a day and I think they played the same 30 songs over and over again on the same channel. XM has four or five different channels of Christmas music.

Plus the wife's car has XM and she listens to Fox religiously. If Sirius is going to dump it I may as well not hang on to it.

Stern is a joke. Martha Stewart though, is better looking.

I have XM and really like it, but they will lose NASCAR to Sirius in '07. Can't do without my NASCAR.

Tony Snow is a freeper. There is a daily thread for his program. Search for his name, and you'll find them.

I'd like to get one and I hear Sirius is better for sports. Mostly interested in the NFL and college.

Talk shows would be nice but neither seems to carry the syndicated shows.

Well, I just called them and there are no plans to cancel Fox News. On a side note, their call center was American. It's been quite some time since I've called a company's customer service number and spoken to someone in this hemisphere, which was a nice little bonus. I think I'll stick with Sirius.

I'm getting XM in my new car soon-- but I'll never get Sirius radio because they sponsor that atheist creep Howard Stern.

I'm not that old, but I am old enough to remember when cable tv was supposed to be commercial free. If satellite radio proves that it has commercial free content, for the long haul, then I might consider subscribing. Is Fox news radio declared to be commercial free?

Thanks for your positive report. I also ordered the remote as one of the reviews of it pointed out how much safer it was to change stations while driving. $11.95
