The timeliness of those writings [Sir Winston Churchill's "Never Give In]comes to mind because of Iran. Same as Germany in the 1930s, through democratic procedures, fell in the hands of the crazed Nazis, Iran, also with the blessing of the electorate, today is a dangerous instrument in the hands of Islamic fundamentalism, a country where a fanatical leader named Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, that nation's brand-new president, impersonates Hitler and leads the planet in the direction of a terrible nuclear catastrophe.
President Ahmadinejad -- with a brazenness we should thank him for, because it leaves no doubt as to his intentions -- has made two statements that are enough to send shivers through everyone. The first is that "Israel must be erased from the map." The second is that "the world must understand that Israel is not Iran's only objective but simply its first."
It does not seem reckless to predict what can happen in the Middle East in the foreseable future. An Iran supplied with nuclear weapons, led by a madman like Ahmadinejad, armed with North Korean-made missiles capable of delivering their warheads to practically all the major cities of the area, backed by an army of two million soldiers, will try to conquer its "vital space," its lebensraum, by intimidating its neighbors, as a step prior to its effort to annihilate Israel.
Nor is it difficult to predict the final outcome: Iran will not achieve its final objective, but the destruction wreaked by that conflict will be infinitely greater than that wrought by World War II. If Churchill had been heeded in 1935, when he asked that the Nazis be halted at any cost, humanity would have been spared the deaths of 60 million people...
It is time to reread his speeches. And, above all, it is time to act.

I'm really tired of 'Iran news' that goes nowhere.
We must either stop talking about how bad they are - OR DO SOMETHING, FINALLY!
Iran,....a nation on the brink of obtaining nuclear weaponry. And our government and Israel sit and do nothing but verbal joust. Its like walking into an Christmas party at work and someone has an AK-47 gripped in his hands. Everyone looks nervously around, until finally someone goes up and asks, "Did you know that you are not really dressed for hunting?"

Ahmadinejad was one of those cowardly pricks who bound, blindfolded, imprisoned and tortured this nation's embassy personnel a generation ago, and yet he was permitted to land in New York and spew his bile all over the UN.
Next time, he should swim with the fishes in the East River.

These events are extremely troubling, doubly so is the lack of response by the US.
If action is not taken soon to take the Iranian regime down, Tel Aviv will be history.

Extremely troubling, yes.....but I have to place my faith in the Israeli gov't. They took out Saddam's nuke facility when it wasn't palatable to the other Western nations. I believe that they issued a statement some time ago to the effect that "...Iran will not be allowed to create a nuclear weapon capable of reaching Israel..." Foreshadowing?
Can't we get Bob Evans' slaughterhouse to donate enough hog's blood to drop from some firebirds or choppers?
Or perhaps left to dealt with the wild boars himself.
That would be a special Hell for him.
