Fortunately those two clowns only represent a small, though vocal, minority in the GOP, maybe 20% at best. They certainly don't represent me by any stretch. In fact, I find them loathsome. But I'm glad to say even many of among that minority are very nervous to demand an immediate pull out from Iraq. I think they know how they'll be perceived in taking such a position. Apparently Murtha doesn't quite grasp what he's making his entire party appear to be.

Two per cent would be closer to the mark.

Buchanan can't really be considered a conservative any longer. It would be more accurate to describe him as a populist, whose guiding principle is isolationism.

Actually, "opportunist" would be more precise -- given that Pat seems to calibrate his political opinion nowadays to that which will sell the most books to his niche audience.
