You would think these people would get the message that Terrorists don't negotiate or show mercy to anyone, particularly people from Western Nations.
Just another example of Naive idiots going into a War Zone trying to do something they ought to know will not work.
Of course they will be "Heroes" to the Liberal Elite media instead of the Morons they are.

"How very sad.

Misguided and naive? Yes. Deserving of the fate which they will surely suffer? Not in a million lifetimes.

I pray for their souls."

I also pray for their souls, but only if they join the afterlife. Let the islamist behead these idiots, on tv, while they are praying for mercy. This type of idiocy only helps the terrorists.

Rush is saying that this could also be a stunt by the peace organization. After taking a closer look at some of the pictures of the captors, I could swear that one of them is wearing birkenstocks. lol

The organization said it "does not advocate the use of violent force to save our lives should we be kidnapped, held hostage, or caught in the middle of a conflict situation."

Shaking head with perplexed facial expression.

CPT in Arizona is a 2005 summer-long violence-reduction project based in Douglas, Arizona, working in cooperation with NO MORE DEATHS, an Arizona coalition to protect life in the US/Mexico border region and promote humane and sustainable immigration policies.

This tells a lot that are fighting the efforts of protecting the USA Border. And they are helping the PLO against Israel.

Thanks for the link.

Seems they preach the "gospel" of peace (Some what noble but Christ objective is not "peace") instead of the Gospel of the living Christ.

"The Swords of Righteousness Brigade"

I am not up on military matters. How many does it take to make up a brigade? And do these gloriously named a**hat groups ever have near enough to legitimatly call themselves a "brigade"?

"....or just leftist moon bats...."

BINGO! We have a winner folks. Using the link to thier website on the post following yours I took a look and the site is WAY heavy on politics and WAY light on spreading the word of God.

But do not be concerned for these people. I am sure that as we speak their fellow group members are frantically organizing candlelight vigils. That'll work.

"You would think these people would get the message that Terrorists don't negotiate or show mercy to anyone, particularly people from Western Nations."

Unfortunately, they will never get the message because they lack the capacity or the will to recognize true evil. Thus, they will be forever marching unprotected into harm's way.

I read on another thread that she has been alienated for her family for some time, hasn't communicated with her parents for years and has also not seen the daughter (now 12) for years. She seems to have been in Iraq on some vague "humanitarian mission" since some time in 2002. So who knows what was going on?

It's staged.
She deserves whatever happens, but probably nothing will.
They almost never blindfold real hostages. They want you to see the terror in their eyes.

I believe this is a show and this wench is complicit.

"The team's work has focused on documenting and focusing public attention on detainee abuses, connecting citizens of Iraq to local and international human rights organizations, and accompanying Iraqi civilians as they interact with multinational military personnel and Iraq's government officials," the group said.

In other words, they've done their level best to assist the Islamofascist subhuman terrorists. At this point I'd be playing a very small violin for them if they were beheaded by their new "friends." No American or Iraqui troops or intelligence operatives should have their lives risked tryig to free these traitors.

Will the captives be forced to read anti-US, anti-Israel statements like the previous hostages?

Have these terrorist made any demands like German and Canadian forces withdraw from Iraq or that the entire Shiite govt resign. I haven't heard any details of what they want. I hope the swords of...whatever realize that it's a little late to stop democracy in Iraq, placing four westerners under the threat of beheading (if that is their goal) wont accomplish anything.

Anyway, I'm confident they'll be released. They maybe fools but I'll say a little prayer for them.

ROTFL! The same Christian Peacemaker Teams came up with the bright idea for an Adopt-a-Detainee campaign... Now they can adopt themselves!

From their site...

The Adopt-a-Detainee Letter-Writing Campaign, beginning in March 2004, matched individual detainees with congregations, mosques, synagogues, and peace groups in North America and around the world. These groups wrote letters to U.S., Iraqi and other relevant officials on the detainees' behalf. The campaign grew out of CPT's investigation of and reporting on abuses within the U.S.-run detention system in Iraq during the fall of 2003. The Adopt-a-Detainee Letter-Writing Campaign included a total of twenty-seven detainees, nine of whom U.S. officials released during the campaign, ten of whom were still detained at last word, and seven of whom U.S. officials never confirmed as detained (i.e., the "disappeared.")

During the campaign, at least 1,000 people and groups participated from Canada, France, Germany, India, Israel, Nigeria, the Palestinian Territories, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. CPT expresses its sincere gratitude to all of those who participated in the campaign in various ways.

Hi All-

Insights into this situation in the words of others with whom I communicate:

"...I hate to sound coldhearted, but I don't feel the slightest tinge of pity for those morons. This is what happens when you're a phucking blissninny ~ always walking around in Condition White believing that there is no such thing as evil, just misunderstood people making bad choices. Those iceholes went like lambs to the slaughter with their feel-good, touchy-feely, can't-we-all-just-get-along, white flag waving peace crap. Now they're finding out just what the real world is like, but too late to do them any good I'm afraid.

The coalition forces now have to waste time and resources trying to rescue them, also risking their lives in the rescue mission. These people are just troublemakers whose role in life is to cause problems to people who are trying to get things done. You can bet they are now trying to "talk" their way out of their predicament, or try to "make friends" or "reason" with their captors, instead of trying to escape. In the end they will be killed or ransomed or rescued, then if anything goes wrong, they will blame the coalition..."

They are not "hostages".

Nobody wants or cares about them coming back except their families, and they had no business there except to cause trouble for the US
