Ugh I remember that May 2002, Newsweek article. It came out right around the time of the homosexual pedophile priest scandal. As a catholic, I was so pissed off with the substance of in the article (activist gays are overtaking the priesthood on top of the pedophile scandal) and the tone of the article (see the proganda thread #4 overhumanization), that i tore the stupid thing up and canceled my subscription. I was pissed off and delusioned with my church and with Newsweek. The writer of the "news" article seemed to be happy that the priesthood was swarming with gays, dismissed any claims that homosexuality had anything to do with the scandal, and took a tone of "why cant these gay priests screw eachother, live with eachother, and be happy? The mean church shouldnt judge them." They probably had some gay guy write the thing. Ugh no thanks Newsweek and God bless Pope Benedict
