This article is right on the mark. I often see young couples with that lost, frustrated look in their eyes as they try to be "equal" with one another rather than just be themselves and love each other. The woman does the power walk in front of the husband at the mall, trying to be the leader; meanwhile, he pushes the baby carriage behind her, meekly looking down at his feet and seemingly wondering if he's acting feminine enough for her.

There is another reason as well: our women are more attractive then theirs. This drives them crazy, which is why they are soooooo friendly to the gays.

I've heard more than a few liberals seriously argue that all of the athletic dimorphism between men and women (e.g., strength, size, etc.) are cultural rather than biological and that it's only because of our sexist culture that women are weaker than men. There are some seriously dangerous consequences to those ideas.

The left hates the emotional aspect of sex because emotions are lasting and are the reason why fleeting sexual relationships hurt people. You can't be free to explore your own sexuality with whomever you like that particular day if they are going to get all emotional and clingy and cry on you when you toss them aside like a use napkin. Better to encourage nobody to have emotional attachment to sex, then you don't have to worry about commitment and responsibility, the things the left really fears the most.

I hate the democratic party as much as the next guy, but this might be a little far fetched. Their are some liberals in my church and at my work. They are very naive and misguided politically, but they seem to be in very loving relationships. I don't buy for a second that half of our electorate despise loving relationships.

That is the single stupidest thing i've ever heard. I suppose racism is why whites can't jump as high as blacks too.

I think it's the other way around......my parents were so religious that us kids still are embarrassed to death if they found out we ever had sex (we're in our 40's and never married)....course we were threatened and one beaten for false reasons ...but the family must be perfect in the eyes of a very religious family....no premarital sex (or thoughts apparently) in a Very Religious family.

I read this in a 300 level sociology text book. They claimed that as we destroy the cultural barriers, athletic achievement will be equal. They supported this with the decreasing margin of difference between the best 100 meter times for men and women. However, with recent drug testing episodes, it turns out that the destruction of these cultural barriers is coming because our women are now shooting lots and lots of juice.

There are plenty of college-educated people who seem to believe it and even books that claim it's true. As for how high whites and blacks jump, while it's true that certain races (actually, ethnicities) dominate sports with certain types of physical activity, the differences between races is relatively minor when compared to the differences between men and women when it comes to strength. That's why you'll see a mixed-race field of athletes qualified for almost any sport in the Olympics and they'll perform at least competatively while you won't see mixed-sex sports. If you did, this whole left-wing mythology would collapse like the house of cards it is.

Very true. Thats why all this get women into new military roles stuff bothers me. Sending weaker, slower soldiers into the field puts everyone else at risk.

Good point. I'd imagine some of the loons may believe that.

Yes. Pump women full of male hormones and they'll perform physically more like males. What a surprise. Health effects? Ah, they'll be old and out of the public spotlight before they pay the price.

But that's what really amazes me about the "it's all cultural argument". It isn't as if the best scientific minds in the Communist world (formerly Russia and Eastern Europe and now China) haven't been experimenting with women for decades, trying to boost their performance any way possible, without regard for long-term effects, and have failed to get women up to the performance levels of men. Just what sort of "cultural issue" do they think still remains when you are training girls from the age of 6 to be gymnasts, weight lifters, and sprinters?

The whole feminist movement is nuts. In the same book while speaking of domestic violence and abuse, they acknowledged the fact that women are approximately equally abusive of men as men are of women. They then said, that due to the lesser strength of women, this was an insignificant issue, and the abuse of men by women is unimportant.
