The tide is aturnin'....
I don't preach but am wondering why it would be "difficult" to preach the truth.
Is there anything else worth preaching?
Yowzah!
(The source needs an editor though. "WHOSE!")
"This is done he said by telling them that homosexual acts are sinful, he said."
- That was weak. There are a thousand real health reasons why homosexuality is wrong.
Ack! Quit tip-toeing around the subject. The message is simple: Quit yer pole smokin' and corn holin'!
Tough Love
How about, "because your life style disgusts us in such a way that we would rather you not use our restroom."?
Good for him. At least he's got the balls to says so.
Glad to read this!
However, I have to highlight a pet peeve of mine.... how can the Archibishop say the Catholic Church is not practicing discrimination? I know that in most of my life the word 'discrimination' has turned into a a term meaning something like unjust prejudice. But 'discrimination' in and of itself really is a GOOD thing. And the Catholic Church can and MUST discriminate against bringing homosexuals into the clergy.
Perhaps someone more into semantics can correct me or clarify this further.
Best regards,

Massachusetts Turns in Two Times the Necessary Signatures to Repeal Gay Marriage on 2008 Ballot
Try having this discussion with an actual homosexual person sometime. It is not fun. I have one in my family who claims to be a Catholic. I explained to him why he cannot be a true Catholic when he is a sinner in the eyes of the Church. He did not want to hear it. I will send him this article though. I believe he can be saved.
Exactly
Boston Archbishop Sean O'Malley has more sense - and Cathlic understanding - that 90% of the other American bishops.
And then there are those like this dingbat Bishop Clark in Albany, NY. This character is reportedly ready to defy the ban of homosexuals being admitted into his seminaries. Some never learn.
PRECISELY!
That sure has alot of teeth, right Jeeves????
Very happy to read. Thanks for posting.
Love the sinner, hate the sin.
Yeah, but Boston's been blessed to have Archbishop O'Malley. He was at the forefront opposing homosexual marriage in Massachusetts. When I was still in that area for school, he and the church lead a rally I attended (along with a couple thousand others) in Boston Commons against the SJC's decision.
Bump and ping
Homosexual Agenda Ping.
Simple, truthful message. And the truth that sex outside of marriage is sinful (which naturally means all same sex acts are also) is not a limited, relative truth. It's just not a Catholic truth or even just a Christian truth. It is universal truth, applicable to every human being, whether they believe it or not. It's the universal standard of human behavior that everyone should aspire to, and if someone falls short, they should know that they are in error, repent, and amend their ways.
Freepmail me and DirtyHarryY2K if you want on/off this pinglist.
Note: Love means telling the truth. Lying to make someone "feel better" - if the lie will keep that person in ignorance, sickness, and separate from God - is the opposite of love.
