After you tell us what happened to the 1.2 BILLION we sent you to fix the levees, more than CA received for its flood control, we will consider it, Little Miss Muffett. Until then, not another dime. By the way, you can't build levees on jello. There is precious little stable soil in that swamp, so this is throwing good money after bad.

Good point. If they want real levees, they might need to do what the Japanese did when they built Kansai International Airport—drill all the way down to the bedrock and remove the water from the subsoil before building on top of it. Even then, the airport is slowly sinking and it cost mega billions.

The weight of the levees themselves in that bog contributed to the failure. However, I want New Orleans rebuilt enough to send the evacuees home from Baton Rouge (now known as New Orleans North) at least. After spending a few days last week amongst them - my heart is not the soft touch that it was.
