Arlen Specter sounds like Al Davis in drag.

Specter has time to represent T.O but not enough time to hear the Alito hearing. What a bunch of B.S.

But the Senate is too busy to start Alito's Supreme Court nomination hearings.
What a pathetic Senator I have!

Don't the Eagles still have to pay him after his 4 game suspension is up? If so they aren't denying him anything. Lots of players are inactive while under contract.

it goes on and on and on......Yep - just a matter of time before Specter announces that the Alito confirmation hearings will have to pushed even further back than Jan. 9 so this vitally important grandstanding can take place.

first of all Specter, there is a thing called the Trade deadline in the NFL....what a dumbass
secondly, the Eagles have the right to activate or de-activate any player they wish too. It's in the collective bargaining agreement that the players signed off on.

Specter and TO can both go to Canada to continue their careers. I imagine an arena football team could use Owen's talents. As for Specter, maybe a Scottish legal firm since he such an expert on Scottish law.

I think the MLB and the NFL should have hearings into the failings of Congress.

When Arlen was a wee broth of a lad, on a family visit to Scotland, he tried to catch a caber. Sadly, it struck him on the head, and he has been addle-brained ever since..

Specter is truly an idiot. T.O. signed a contract pursuant to collective bargaining agreements.
Even he isn't asserting this retarded line of thought.

Did Senator Specter's cancer treatments rot his brain? I mean. more than it was rotten before then? All the teams and all the players in the NFL are subject to the negotiated Players Agreement. Under that, any player aggrieved by a team decision can ask for arbitration, which T.O. did against the Eagles, and he lost.
If Specter did his homework before he shot his mouth off, he'd know that once the arbitrator's decision is handed down, it is even enforceable in federal court, under existing federal law. And at this point, Specter sticks his nose in and claims that this is illegal?
How many times does this doofus lawyer/Senator have to show that he is a legal klutz before he gets dumped as Chairman of Judiciary so his potential to cause harm to the nation will be greatly decreased.
