Moyers devised the "daisy" commercial in 1964 -- shown one time only. Barry Morris Goldwater claimed to have never forgiven Moyers, but BMG himself moved to the left near the latter years of his life.
I think you'll find that Tony Schwartz of the Doyle, Dane, Bernbach ad agency was guilty of creating the daisy ad, not that Moyers wouldn't have. One thing Moyers did do was shop around to reporters the FBI wiretaps of Martin Luther King enjoying the, ahem, company of women not his wife. Robert Novak is the source for that gem.
