by the way........pls read all the posts and see that there are many "dumb" comments that agree with me....too bad we are all so "assuming" in our miserable analysis of the situation....I stand by my comments and of course I make assumptions since he has not addressed this issue to many of us...politicians and laymen alike to our liking...

I saw the speech. I thought it was pretty good. I noted that he made 3 specific proposals (deportation to inland Mexico, keeping illegals in custody until depotation, and enforcement of the labor laws with employers). He also specifically mentioned that legal immigrants should assimilate and LEARN ENGLISH.

I have read this whole thread, and I am not surprised that the usual griping and name-calling is occurring.

I refuse to participate further, other than this one post to express my opinion and what I heard.

Everyone may continue griping now.
