yeah .....I"m kind of pissed.....NOW he gives this speech to keep attention away from all the crap that is happening to the Repubs lately....Bush is late on this....and now only to secure his base....politics at it's best....if he had out interests at heart, this speech would have been given years ago

....Bush is late on this....and now only to secure his base...When Miers was pulled, people were happy. Hey chalk it up to another victory for the base. Be happy. The Dems sure aren't proposing anything better, nor will they.

So was I. Was very surprised it hadn't been posted - Or at least I couldn't find it.
IMO the only thing he's said that might make a difference is the concept of Workplace Enforcement. The rest is just more of the same IMHO. For example, he touts the 33% increase in enforcement agent over the past five years but that means there was only 3,500 and the annualized increase is only about 6% per year. Meanwhile, Illegals have increased many times that.
Just smokescreen to get the Amnest ... er 'Guest Worker' program in place - Again, IMHO.
