A sad day, he was a good man.

He admitted to taking bribes, and resigned. He is NOT a good man by any definition that matters to the general public. He might be a good student, or a good tennis player, but he is not a good man.

"Cunningham was the only American to shoot down three MiGs in one day. He would receive the Navy Cross for his heroism and superior airmanship on this day."

Duke was and is a good man, who made a bad mistake!

Duke was a great fighter pilot and is an honored veteran. He was a corrupt congressman, but you have to give him credit for admitting it and resigning. A 'Rat would likely entrench and start calling those pointing out his corruption 'racist baby killers.'

Go into your wayback machine and include that he was the first combat ace of the Vietnam war. This doesn't excuse his behavior, but he fought valiantly when others ran. He is a good man that went bad.

Cunningham was just one foolish enough to get caught and honest enough to admit it. I know for a fact that other US Congressmen have been guilty of taking bribes offered by China, they just did not get caught.
