Leakgate accuser Joe Wilson hinted at the prospect of impeachment Monday morning while discussing the "betrayal of national security" entailed by the outing of his CIA employee-wife, saying that he hoped the case wouldn't result in "a constitutional crisis."
Asked if he thought the leaking of his wife's name by Cheney chief of staff Lewis Libby was sanctioned by White House higher-ups, Wilson told WABC Radio's "Curtis & Kuby":
"It is clear that Mr. Libby and Mr. Rove were acting - but whether they were acting independently or not is something for [Leakgate prosecutor Patrick] Fitzgerald to determine."
Wilson then explained: "It does strike me that, normally in an organization, the chief of staff does not act completely separate from his principal."
Adopting a tone of mock regret, the aggrieved ex-diplomat declared: "Now I would hope, of course, that this tawdry political act of illegality and betrayal of national security does not become a constitutional crisis."
Asked what actual damage his wife had suffered since she was not undercover at the time of her outing, Wilson declined to respond directly, saying only:
"[Bush officials] decided that they were going to use the enormous power of the White House communications office to try to destroy us. I have had no choice but to defend myself."

I simply do not understand why Fitzgerald does not get into the circumstances about his trip, why taxpayers subsidized this man to try to undercut his country. What waas the purpose of this trip, was tyhe whole idea by the CIA supposed to be to see if the Presidnet of the United States was telling the truth, or if it could be twisted to appear he wasn't?
Those type of things are what he should be looked at, not who can remember specific conversations that took place years ago. The trip was fishy, and so is the "investigation".
The sum of her income from CIA classified work over the rest of her probable working career minus the sum of her income from CIA overt status positions over the rest of her probable career minus the windfall profits from books and lecture fees enabled by her having been outed. Of course this will likely be a negative number.
We have a history of rebellion here in SC.
I will say though, civil war is just as likely as an impeachment of GWB.

I have no doubt a dem controlled House would impeach the president.
The odds of the dems taking the House are much better than a civil war resulting from an impeachment.
That being said, a dem house is unlikely, but certainly possible.
Put this clown under oath and make him read his June 2003 NY Times Op-Ed, and you'd have more perjury charges against him than Fitzgerald brought against Libby.
I figured out a long time ago that it's a lot easier to count the times when Wilson ISN'T lying.

Too bad Joe Wilson is doomed to be disappointed. These days it seems the only thing Fitzgerald is interested in is 2004 conversations between a Libby lawyer and a reporter.
The man is Soros' Bi*tch--end of discussion, go ahead Joe, take your seat right along side Cindy 'the Simp' Sheehan and little Dick Clarke.
Of course, we can ignore the fact that there is no proof that Rove did anything or that Libby is, most likely, going to be acquitted. There has to be a crime for impeachment. The only crimes I see here are Joe Wilson's lies...or didn't he get called before the grand jury?

if the House goes in 2006, there will be impeachment hearings. the administration has done nothing to demonize Wilson and Fitzgerald (as they should have).
your "hitting the streets" won't mean anything. if a duly elected Democratic majority in Congress wants to start impeanchment hearings - they will. and the media will assist them in making the case to the sheeple regarding its legitimacy.
