almost 25 years on death row..
"Beardslee was declared dead by San Quentin State Prison officials at 12:29 a.m., becoming the first California inmate put to death since 2002 and the 11th since the state resumed executions in 1992. "
There are around 600 inmates on death row in California.
Actions speak louder than words. Anyone can say, "Oh, by the way, I'm really nice now, and I love Jesus." But he murdered people, and lived a very violent life.
Any human being capable of the depravity of his actions did not start out "nice", and has no capacity to unlearn the lack of emotion that allowed the actions in the first place.
