What disturbs me is why George Tenet, after certainly reading Wilson's NYT's Op-Ed, didn't say a single word. His silence, in the face of Wilson's obvious (at that time, obvious only to Tenet and the CIA) lies, undermined the President's credibility in a time of war. Shoot, the CIA is the outfit that requested the special prosecutor in this case. It's baffling.

Tenet issued the following press release a few days later. It essentially said that the VP didn't send Wilson nor did the VP's office and other high ranking officials ever receive a briefing on what Wilson found.

No it's not. Elements in the CIA have been at war with the administration since day one. The Wilson- Plame afair reeks of a CIA op AGAINST our own government. Some major mucking out needs to be of the stables in Langley.
