Odd that I should read this now. Mom,I should say my mother-in-law, just 10 days ago had a stroke and we visit the hospital everyday as you would expect, and talk with her about imaginary things and things FAR in the past.

Our son flew in from London and surprised us when we told him .....and she called him "nephew"........We cried and cried that night.

A prayer or two from those so inclined would be appreciated

I'll pray, Lorianne. My mother-in-law had a couple of strokes/ a while back now. It is very hard. But it is a good thing, to give your energy back to the parents. And it is very satisfying to know, when they die, that you have done what you could do.
