I'd rather we set higher standards.
Agreed. We shouldn't blow up Muslim women and children as part of a religious war.
;-)
btw there was an excellent CSPAN program this morning featuring Richard Perle and another scholar on the Saudi's connection to Islamic extremism and terrorism. You will be happy to know that the majority of high ranking former U.S. government officials considered experts on the Middle East are on the Saudi payroll. :-(
An end to the Saudi regime will be a major step forward to an end to Islamic terrorism around the world. Toppling that unstable regime would be no more difficult than a gentle tap on a domino.
Someday some White House will figure this out--the question is how many Americans will have to die in terrorist attacks before then?

The question is, does this 'Girlypeople' country have the foresight to recognize the dangers and the guts to fight our own kind, if that's what it comes to?

The question is, does this 'Girlypeople' country have the foresight to recognize the dangers and the guts to fight our own kind, if that's what it comes to? I watched a CIA type on TV the other night who, when asked the question did he think that the American people had the will to see the Iraq war through to a successful conclusion, he came back with an instant NO! I hate to say it, but I agree.
