Wow. I would have rather had tagine (chickpea stew) over turkey any day on Thanksgiving. I love lentils, too, especially with lots of carrots, celery and tons of garlic. And curried rice. And mango chutney....
For Sheehan's info, the middle east has some great food.

Is Sheehan implying that the Iraqi food is disgusting and we all should suffer with the poor Iraqis by eating it instead of traditional American fare?
If so, she's as big an elitist and nose-sniffing hypocrite as the rest.
I think she is insulting the Iraqi's by serving this stuff. If she were to serve traditional Iraqi food there would have been roast lamb. I don't know what Iraqi's she consulted for this food but it's an insult to them. This sounds like the crap they feed the prisoners in Arabic countries.
