Ranchers were well along the way to eliminating the Alaskan Brown Bear until the sport hunting industry and sport hunting enthusiasts managed to lobby for their protection. Now they are well established and represent a stable and growing population .

Darn good point...

Here in Oklahoma...and in many other parts of the nation...they didn't even HAVE deer or turkey seasons 30 years ago. Because there weren't enough of them.

A friend that lived here in the late 70's..told me he had a successful hunt if he found a deer TRACK!! LOL!!!

Hunters have actually saved many species...of wildgame. And contribute a great amount of dollars to the local and national economies....

Good points, and true.

Now let's ask Sungirl (FranklySpeaking) once again what the animal rights groups do for wildlife -- or any animal.

Wouldn't do any good, she avoids answering direct questions.Like any good liberal she doesn't want the facts, is satisfied to base her opinions on emotion.
