People with allergies need to carry with them, and know how to use, treatments to protect themselves - or they will eventually die ugly deaths in public. Sorry, that's the way it is; you can't avoid peanuts always and everywhere.

You have never watched a 2nd grade kid have to learn to use a needle have you?

Kids are Kids, but I guess enjoying a PB&J sandwich is more important then some little kid dying.

Banning peanut butter from school is not some slippery slope nonsense, just commone sense.

Fine - you continue on your ban-the-peanut crusade, then move on to sharp objects and paper cuts. The rest of us will just ignore the irrational loons.

But it's inadequate & gives the kid a false sense of security - what if he's sitting next to a little girl who had a peanut butter & banana sandwich for breakfast, before she left her house? That was the rationale of the woman in Maryland.

It's just racism.

It's only because a black man invented peanut butter.

Sorry, having had to take care of my own "just in case" medical needs as a child at school, I'll tell you this: you are wrong.

It *is* just slippery slope nonsense.

Any school which refuses to allow a competent child to carry life-saving medication on its person at all times should be held criminally liable to the individual responsible for both policy and enforcement.
