Tough for the kids who have the peanut allergies. It's a personal problem. They either need to stay home or eat lunch in a designated area, somewhat like those who smoke are banished.

Don't you just wish them dead or in prision or something.

Better the child learn to protect itself, rather that have the government try to protect the child from a flawed immune system via legislation. If the child needs to be protected in school then a seperate lunch area could certainly be provided. However, the restrictions on a common nut used in a myriad of products is preposterous.

What if another child brings some other non-banned nuts (not peanuts) which are roasted in PEANUT OIL? The peanut and its associated by-products are EVERYWHERE. It is a safe food product for a supermajority of the population. The genetic flaws of a few should not dicated the conduct of the many.

At what age will the government protection cease? What's next, some child with an allergic reaction to cow's milk, so then all must be deprived to satisfy the one...
