So you're statement is complete rubbish.

So pay attention, go the damn speed limit, and learn how to share the road.

Yea, I'll continue to maintain Insurance rates as a safe driver for the rest of my life as guaranteed by my insurer because of my "impeccable" driving record.

I don't share the road, I use it with consideration to maintain a lifestyle of comfort as to guarantee that I can pay taxes to support those roads for many years to come.

Your "testy" attitude is one worth discussion so keep up your impressive implications as to continue a furthering of understanding of your attitude.

Fifteen minutes of fame and little pocket change, eh?

Yeah, I can believe that.

Kinda reminds me of the Sheehan Ghoul.

I can't confirm this mindset is hers, however I certainly can't disavow that it is.

The track record of the likes of her when augmented by PAC's can only support your statement.

This is what drivers need to get through their thick heads... local roads are not meant EXCLUSIVELY for cars.

Yea, the weight base determined by engineering and the budgeting involved when building the roads is focused upon the the wear and tear created by bicycles....

Hi bikepacker67-

Some posters on this thread insist that one is only allowed to use a paved roadway if they are paying a specific tax. I guess pedestrians have to pay a shoeleather tax or a sneaker tax if they wish to walk along the shoulder.

If they don't pay, then it's understandable if they're struck by immature kids text messaging on cellular telephones while driving.

Hi EGPWS-

Engineers design roads to handle the heaviest loads it may encounter. That is why your little lightweight econobox can share the road with a tractor-trailer hauling concrete mix.

We have a kid in my town with a Murder 2 on him for killing a young woman while drag racing.

Comment, dude? What might have made the drag racing different than the text messager? Previous conviction? Illegal dragging worse than texting?

Dunno - it made a bit of a stir when they brought that charge. They did justify it by pointing out 90 mph on the main drag in Sat night - should be clear that he was a danger to kill.

I was an avid bicycle commuter in Phoenix for years. I did my best to follow the same rules as eveyone else, stopping at lights and signs, staying WAY over to the right. I've had enough of the close calls. No more bicyle commuting for me, not even in the small town I live in now. I figure I'm on borrowed time if I get back on my road bike.

It's the same with motorcycles. They scrape them off the roads all the time. Regardless of how good a rider one is, or safety precations taken, they are flat out dangerous. I also gave up riding on the pavement on MCs. Too many cars and trucks, too many bad drivers, too many cell phones.

"You kill someone (albeit accidentally, but it could have been avoided), and you could go to jail for as much as a single year? That's crazy!"

What's crazy is that you can kill someone intentionally and walk away a free woman.

90 MPH at THAT location? Unbelievable. I'll have to check the Press archives for the details.
