Thanks for posting this! My son is a waiter and we are having a good laugh. He hasn't ever waited on a celebrity, none would dare dine where he works, but he has some interesting stories about people and their tipping habits.
Many don't realize that not only do they earn well below minimum wage, they also have to give a percentage of their food SALES to the busboy and bartender.

Many don't realize that not only do they earn well below minimum wage, they also have to give a percentage of their food SALES to the busboy and bartender.Actually, there IS a minimum wage for people who depend on tips, but it's extremely low. The last time I checked, and it's been a long time, it was about $2.13/hr. But most servers not only have to tip the bus workers and bar tenders, but there's a minimum percentage of their food and drink sales that they have to declare as income for tax purposes. Of course, if you make more than the minimum, you need to declare that.
