Didn't know that! "The Pike" was the old-fashioned amusement park there which closed down in the late '60s or early '70s. It can be seen in the background in some of the later chase scenes in the classic "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World", which is well worth renting for many reasons! (As is the fairly recent remake, the hilarious "Rat Race".)
