Was reading thia interesting article on evolutionary game theory and seems as if islam's gaming strategy is superior to that of its opponents (denial, pretending nothing happened etc) so long as the opponents dont respond in kind. What happens when the opponents sensing exitsntial crisis wake up (thats an if, not a when) is another question altogether. Where will the new equilibrium lie, only time will tell. Till then, we good guys hold our ground and fight.

For success, one must, in working with or against others, put oneself in others' shoes, so to speak, and have very long range vision while doing so. I suspect that you do see further than Pakistan and have a thorough enough knowledge of the history and culture of Russia, GK. We all know that India has the ability to quickly flatten Pakistan. It would be as easy as stepping on a bug, if India wanted to do so.

Please remember, GK, that although I try to be diplomatic at times, my background is far removed (opposite, even) that of being a diplomat. I'm also a man of very low status and very little education in my country.

Iran will not keep many radical Islamist clerics in the USA. IMO, for US and Israel interests, we should take a purely defensive (not offensive) military posture with Iran for as long as it takes to let things get straightened out in Europe and Asia. Why should we expend more of our men, as we have in the center of the radical Islamist region? We've received no gratitude from countries of intellectuals who would again ally with fascist regimes (as happened during WWII).

May the countries of the new Axis and all of their likely objects of conquest deal with one another.

Go ahead. Let India blow Pakistan's cities away. Then India can work things of power out with Iran, China, Russia and their affiliates.
