A friend of mine had a personal vehicle in the P.I. and ran over a chicken. He stopped and offered the bird's owner restitution. The owner refused the 10 and 20 Peso offers and took my friend to court.
In court the plaintiff argued for restitution for all the lost eggs and offspring and won. Cost US $100.
