They do what they can to bring down the President. Terribly sad, when you consider that this was never done to a wartime President before now. As I often say, these people had been around in WWII, we'd be speaking either Japanese or German, or a combination if they divided up the country between them.

Nope. There was a socialist in power during WWII and the Communists in the USSR (whose existence was threatened by the Nazis) were our allies. So it was a good war supported by these people.
