There are some who believe that speaking in tongues is a prerequesite to being saved....a proof of someone really having the Holy Spirit....
I know, but that is an odd interpretation. The Bible does say that speaking in tongues is evidence you have been filled with the holy spirit, but no where does the Bible indicate it is necessary to be saved. They read way too much into that sentence, IMHO.
