I figured it was East Indian food. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Years ago, a friend brought cookies to work for Christmas. They were beautiful. Looked like large snowflakes. He's East Indian. The cookies had curry in them. Was I surprised.

Back in 2000 in the Bay area Sis & I went to a Indian restaurant in Alameda for dinner. We were the only Anglos in the restaurant. After ordering the waitresses explained the our order was "very specy", twice. We said yes to spice's. About 1 min later, the hostess came over to us and said" You ordered very spicy, is that right?" We said YES thank you.

now , I kid you not, the cook came out about a min later and looked at us, and in out our outside voice we screamed YES Spicy!

had a great meal after that.
