Yes, Michelin Man is French.

Most collectors of advertiques focus on domestically produced symbols, but there are a few foreign-born characters that prove irresistible. One of the most outstanding would have to be the jolly, multilayered figure commonly referred to as the Michelin Man, the longtime symbol of the France-based Michelin Tire Co., cleverly constructed of a stack of tires, with tire-shaped arms, legs and head.
