Not so fast.

Those are USA Nukes under USA command and control.

I think the notion of Turkey trying to aquire its OWN seperate nuclear weapons is a valid question for consideration.

Imagine what being a nuclear weapons player does to their EU application.

It is only natural for a nation to want to have its own independent nuclear wepons. If Pakistan can do it, why not turkey? North korea starved their own people to get nukes, turkey has had few qualms about mistreating inhabitants.

I think it would be wise to prevent rather than wait for hand wringing after the fact.

those nukes were under turkish command and they still are ..
i know people served in north turkey during the cyprus invasion .. an russian did some fake moves and they say it got really busy around there ...
and when us and russia signed to reduce nukes it didn't affect turkey .. so they still have them ....
i don't think turkey is getting the nuke program going for the war heads .. they need energy bad ..
most of their electric comes from the east turkey under constant threat of terrorism....
