The reason I say this is HD makes a lot more money of their mechandise then off their bike sales.

Selling over 300,000 bikes at prices well north of 12 grand apiece, I don't think so.

But they do make a lot of money on Harley-branded products, accessories and parts. I'm sure Honda would too, if they could. Or Ducati or any of the others.

Consider the implications of that.

A company that sells a product that is so desired that mere mention of it on articles of clothing or "dust collectors" causes people to buy the article of clothing or "dust collector".

People who want the $20,000.00 motorcycle are at least able to buy a $20.00 shirt.

As far as Capitalism is concerned, its a wonderful thing.
