In Mn there are laws on the books about disrupting fishing or hunting....video cam and a cell phone in your day pack are good ideas.

I've asked this question on similiar threads,does anyone know why bears in Jersey are not in hibernation in Dec?

Probably because the temps in Nov & Dec are usually pretty warm in New Jersey compared to more northerly regions. Today was the coldest day so far this fall with overnight temps in the 20's and daytime temps in the 30's. A few days ago it was nearly 60. It doesn't get cold for extended periods here until mid-late December.

There also is plenty of food (natural and manmade) still available to bears here.
