Yes, they are losing members. And the "conservative" churches are gaining members.
In 2000, a study showed that the Presbyterian church (USA) lost 11.6 percent of its members in the decade 1990 to 2000 (and I suspect that rate is increasing).
Conversely, Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) GAINED 42.2 percent in that same time period.

The PCUSA has been taken over at the highest levels by pro-choice Democrats. They're hostile to Israel because of the wall they're building, and they don't like Pres. GWB. You can't talk to them just like you can't talk to Howard Dean.
I left the PCUSA and became a member of the Wesleyan denomination, which is pro-life and conservative. The PCUSA is never going to change. In fact, they'd welcome George Soros as a member.
