Why did you just assume that I and the rest of America wouldn't have supported full-blown military action in Rwanda to stop the killing (as I did, in fact, at the time) if we'd had a competent commander in chief?

Because Rwanda poses no threat to the US or US interests. I think war in Rwanda would be an extremely tough if not impossible sell.

Unless, of course, you could convince the Liberals that it would embarrass Bush to decline to go to their aid, then they could unleash their propoganda via the mass media to whip the Libs into a frenzy.
