Yes, his credibility did take a hit. However, I was invited to a presentation where James Sanders and his wife told their story. In the question and answer session one gentleman stood up and said, "I am a retired TWA 747 captain, and there are 38 additional retired 747 captains in this room. We want it on the record that the governments version of what brought down TWA 800 is totally wrong. TWA 800 was not brought down by an explosion in the center fuel tank...no way."
