In violation of CIA regulations that bar contact with reporters without permission, Joseph Wilson's agency-employed wife Valerie Plame apparently accompanied him to a breakfast meeting with New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof in which they discussed the ambassador's controversial mission to Niger one month before Plame allegedly was "outed" by Robert Novak.
In a WND column, investigative reporter Jack Cashill points to a "stunning admission" by Wilson in a January 2004 Vanity Fair magazine story that apparently has been overlooked.

I love you posting the picture!
I think it's so sweet to see how Joe coordinates his tie color with Valerie's very expensive boucle suit. I especially like seeing the table behind the Wilsons, where it appears they've tossed their coats....and perhaps a brown bag of CIA documents?
I wish someone would post the picture of the Wilsons going through a formal White House receiving line. Valerie "loose lips" Plame is wearing a black strapless gown on this particular occasion.
Because Fitz is illiterate?
I agree.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
How did we ever miss this ???
Oh Ping A ling!!
Happy Turkey Day
Thanks! Happy Turkey Day to you and yours too!

"How did we ever miss this ???"
I used to harp on it, and probably others have as well. It was in the Vanity Fair piece:
Vanity Fair:
"In early May, Wilson and Plame attended a conference sponsored by the Senate Democratic Policy Committee, at which Wilson spoke about Iraq; one of the other panelists was the New York Times journalist Nicholas Kristof. Over breakfast the next morning with Kristof and his wife, Wilson told about his trip to Niger and said Kristof could write about it, but not name him."

I've long posited that Kristof was the first reporter to have heard about Plame. And that he got it from Wilson and Plame herself.
And I've also said that Kristof was probably the reporter that Miller heard about Plame from.
Yes .... but I didn't realize that Wilson outed himself in the article
I must have been having a brain dead moment (I've had a few) and didn't pick up your point
It's a supposition that Wilson would have told Kristof about Plame being in the CIA. But as we've often remarked, it would have certainly been in character.
Also, lest we forget, Wilson was asking Kristof to call the President of the United States a liar--and a liar who lied to get us into an unneccesary war.
That is, Wilson is was asking Kristof to call Bush the worst kind of traitor. (Granted this is the NYT, and they are predisposed that way, but still it's a serious charge.)
So I think it is almost a certainty that Wilson would have trotted out everything in his (limited) arsenel to convicne Kristof he was legit. And one of the things he would have told him was that his wife was an expert in the field, working as she does at the CIA on WMD.
Valerie Plame was about as in the closet as Richard Simmons wearing a turkey suit protesting for Foul rights..
thanks, devolve, I would have missed this audio! Pingees, make SURE you hear this tape...I am going to call my 401K admin and make sure there are no MSM accounts in the mix....

Problem is he unintentionally exposed the fact he was going to Niger on personal business. For his company.
What does his company do?
They broker sales for the President of Niger. Yellowcake ore.
We've got to stop accepting this double standard crap, it has to stop. We need to be screaming bloody murder every single time it happens. As long as everyone goes "oh, they only go after republicans" they think it's okay. Well, it's NOT okay.
End of story.
Except for the little details.
Like what was Joe going to Niger for anyway?
And was he allowed to do so twice?
And why were there fake document produced twice that were discredited?
To hide the real documents.
CNN has admitted that tape is authentic - and fired the CNN Headline News jerk who answered the phone and made all of those comments
I dug around and found that before thr FR threads about the tape were posted and sent it out in my emails and posted it here on a FR thread about CNN
Lots of people were attempting to say this is a faked audio and discredit it as made up by conservatives
This radical leftist activist mentality is all thru CNN and the MSM
Matt Drudge has not yet posted that CNN adits thhe tape is genuine -
Developing.......
The answer is 'what was Joe going to Niger in the first place for ? (both times)'
That is amazing!
Thanks for the ping!
